Teaching English (From Rebekah May 12)
Thank you all so much for your e-mails. They meant so much to me. Whenever I e-mail, I get out the pictures I have of you and just relax and think about how blessed I am to have you all as such a major part of my life and mission. Then I say a heart felt prayer that the next 30 minutes will be uplifting. They always are. I feel so uplifted and joyful when I read your e-mails. It's so perfect. I wish I had time to e-mail back all of my dear siblings individually, but as it is, I have fifteen more minutes. I will try to write some letters today, I scheduled an extra 30 minutes for cleaning my apartment because my roommates spilled some toothpaste all over, but I think I'll let them take care of it, and write you some letters. Dad, I hope work is going well. I pray for you all the time and often times ponder your very good example. It strengthens me so much. Thank you for living the gospel so well and for being such a good father. Mom, I love you! I just wrote a page about you in my journal and how your example means so much to me. I feel like I have the most incredible mother in all the world. I really mean that. So, here's a little about my week: it's been so so great! I simply love being a missionary. I am happier to be here every day, I love it. I've started a little English class in the night times. It started as intended just for my roommates, but they shared about it with other Latin sisters, and the group is quickly growing. We're very busy, so the class is short and quick moving, but we all enjoy it so much. Sometimes I think it'll be hard to find time, but the Lord always blesses me and fills me with a love for preparing and sharing with these dear sisters. I feel like one of the greatest things I can offer to my companions in the field is my ability to teach English. It honestly blesses their lives so much here if they know even just a little English. I love studying in the morning how Christ lived his life and then applying it to my day. It fills me with so much joy. One of my favorite talks right now is by President Kimball about Christ being our perfect leader. Sister Steimle gave it to me. I'm studying this talk very thoroughly and it has helped me so much. I love being a missionary so much. I am so happy and healthy - happier and healthier every day! I look forward to writing a couple letters today. - Rebekah AH! Pouch!
