Last week was a good week. On Saturday we helped a part member family set up a trampoline they bought. I did most of the setting up. Their trampoline is a really nice one. It bounces you very high. Setting up the trampoline made me think of you guys.
Also last week we taught someone from Durango Mexico. We taught her the first lesson, and the spirit was very strong. At the end we committed her to be Baptized. She is moving back to Mexico, so we won't be baptizing her, but we got permission to call the Durango mission so that the missionaries there will find her and baptize her. She is really excited to be able to get baptized. I hope the missionaries that are serving in her area are good, obedient, and happy missionaries.
Samuel asked me what life is like here. Life as a missionary is a lot closer to real life than I thought. We still have to worry about keeping the house clean, getting food, and a lot of other normal life routines. We are also working a lot. We are out in the Field prosceliting from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.. We have thirty minutes for lunch and one hour for dinner. On P-days we only work 3 hours and Sundays only 6 hours so that puts us at working 54 hours a week. Then we also study for 3 hours a day. It feels about the same as doing Homework. We get eight hours of sleep, which may sound nice, but when you work as hard as we do, it is not enough. I really like staying busy. The Hispanics are very nice to us. Sometimes someone is mean to the missionaries, but usually never the Hispanics.
I like cooking a lot. All of my companions I have had in the field tell me I’m good at cooking. Some of my favorite things to cook are German Pancakes, Brownies, Bread and Spaghetti. I like using the bread maker that mom sent me, because it is fast and easy, and that is how I cook my bread, but it doesn’t taste as good as bread made by hand.
It was nice to get Michelle’s e-mail and to read her testimony. Michelle, I love your testimony. We gave the Book of Mormon you sent me to someone. She was born in Paraguay, she is 20 years old and she loved the Book of Mormon. The testimony you wrote in it fits her personality very well. We will be teaching her some more tomorrow.
