To Write Rebekah

Rebekah recieves all her mail through the pouch system. (Which basically means you send it to Salt Lake and they send it to the mission.) It is safer and more efficient that way. She would love to hear from you! You can only send a 1 page letter, folded in thirds and closed with 1 piece of tape. (No Envelope) Stamp and address the letter as you would an envelope and send it to:

Sister Rebekah Pauliene Finch
Guatamela Quetzaltenango Mission
POB 30150
Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0150

If you want to send something directly to the Mission Office, they can get it to her. (Cards, packages)

Dogging a Missionary, otherwise known as Dodging a Dog

First order of business... I am being transferred out of Spartenburg. We got transfer call, and I am leaving Spartenburg. Elder Gooch is staying. Every area I have been in so far, I have been there for 2 transfers, or 3 months. Usually you stay in an area for 4 transfers. I like to think that President is moving me around so much so I can help a lot of areas.
I have a kind of funny story. Last week Elder Gooch and I were walking around. We walked past this one street, and elder Gooch told me that Missionaries give the street the name of "Dog Alley." We looked down the street, and didn't see any dogs, so we decided to walk down it. The first 100 feet, no dogs. We kept going. Before long there were dogs in fences everywhere. Some of them were really big, but it was ok, because they were all in fences. We kept going, and I spotted a pit bull staring at us in a bunch of tall grass. I stopped walking. Elder Gooch gave me a weird look saying," why'd you stop?" Then he saw the Ferocious beast too, and Quickly ran and hid behind me. He was a foot ball player, but he was more afraid of the dog than I was. (I guess it's like the tarantella thing in New Mexico when all the University football players started panicking when they saw a tarantula.) I bent down and picked up a stick, and we slowly, cautiously walked past the beast who was growling at us the whole way. We got back to our car and just started laughing. We decided that street was cursed, and that we shouldn’t go on it again. (Insert happy face) Now we know why it is called Dog Alley.

I think it is cool that Rebekah may be coming home next July so she can start school in the Fall. Maybe I’ll do it too, he he he. Or maybe I will just come home as planned in September and work until winter semester. I think I want to apply for BYU, BUYI and UVU. I will have time to write the two required essays. I'll just work on them during P-Days, and Dinners

I am about out of time today. I love you all. bye
Elder Finch.
