Excited to be Teaching, Motivated to Serve

There is an interesting challenge that Spanish stateside missionaries have to face, (especially right now). Several of the Hispanics are moving to a new area, or getting deported, or moving back to Mexico. Since I have been in this area, five different households of our investigators have moved back to Mexico. Jennifer, the American girl we were teaching, moved to another state.

On the bright side, we our continually finding more investigators. Yesterday, we had a lot of people that were supposed to go to church. None of them showed up, but we are still teaching them, and have faith in them. One of them we contacted a little over a week ago, He works all the time except Saturday, and Sunday mornings. We taught him the first lesson two days ago, and extended a baptismal date for the 9th of October, he accepted.
We are also teaching someone named Liliana. She is really cool. She lives with several other people that could be cool also. She was taught by missionaries a few months ago. Today we have an appointment with her at 4:00. During that lesson, we are going to extend a baptismal date to everyone that lives there that will listen to us. We will either extend the 25th of this month, or the ninth of the next. Liliana has already been to church once, so she only needs to go one more time. The rest of the family can't be baptized until the 9th because of General Conference.
My companion is doing a lot better now. He still has headaches, but he and I are full of faith right now, and working hard. Last Friday, we had a Zone Conference with one of the seventy, Elder Zabrowsky. He rebuked a lot of the leaders really hard during that meeting, and pretty much called the whole mission to repentance. It was good. Our mission needed it. I left that meeting with as much motivation as when I stepped off of the plane.
I love you all so much, and think of you all every night before going to bed. And I feel so lucky to have a sister serving with me.
Daniel, Elder Finch.
