The Baptism on Saturday went great. Satan was defiantly trying hard to stop Cesar. Cesar didn't get to sleep till 5:00am the night before the baptism, and 7:00am the night before his confirmation. We have church at 9:00 in the morning with sacrament meeting first. I got a strong prompting to call Cesar at around 8:40. He answered on the fifth ring, and mumbled an untranslatable grown. I think he was sleeping the first 5 minutes I was talking to him. Finally he woke up and started making sense. He showed up a little late for church. He walked in the doors seconds before they called his name to be confirmed.
On Saturday Enriqueta and Dana were baptized by Bro. Careto. And then I baptized Cesar, which was really cool. That was the first time I personally had performed the ordinance. Dana had a waterside confirmation, then Enriqueta and Cesar were confirmed on Sunday. None of Cesars family were at his baptism. His Mom is against the church, and wouldn't let his sister go. His sister is a member, but hasn't been in about 2 years because the Mom was against it. She is only 16 so she has to listen to her mom. I guess the mom let her get baptized, and then changed her mind about the church. We are praying that She will realize how much Cesar has changed, and that her heart will be softened and let Kenya go to Church.
We got transfer calls on Saturday. To my surprise, my companion is leaving, and I am staying. I have been in this area for 7 months, and at the end of the new transfer, it will be 8 1/2 months. That is a long time for one area. Then I will have been in this area as long as all my other areas put together.
I love you all very much.
