Editor's Note: Sorry, I haven't been keeping up the blog very well lately so this e-mail is quite late in coming as will the next few. Rebekah is home now. Honorably released with direction to quickly get over Mono and go to school and get married. . . (She was quite sick, but you will hear more of that later. . .) For now, here is Daniel's e-mail from way a long time ago.
General conference was great. We watched it at church for all five sessions. We get transfer calls this Saturday, so I will know then if I will be leaving this area. If I don't I will set a record for the longest time any missionary has stayed in one area since before President McConkie came to the mission almost 3 years ago. I’ve been here since before the beginning of the school year. I love my companion right now. He is a hard worker and knows how to treat people well.
I love the ward I am in right now. They feed us almost every day except for Sunday and Saturday. (Because one of our rules is members can only feed us on Sunday and Saturday if they bring a non-member to eat with us.) All in all it is a good rule, but most members don't like it.
Running in the morning is still going good. We are running two miles a day right now. It normally takes us 14 minutes, so it's not slow, but not fast either. I want to go fast, and push myself every morning, but the other missionaries living in our apartment don't want to go that fast.
