To Write Rebekah

Rebekah recieves all her mail through the pouch system. (Which basically means you send it to Salt Lake and they send it to the mission.) It is safer and more efficient that way. She would love to hear from you! You can only send a 1 page letter, folded in thirds and closed with 1 piece of tape. (No Envelope) Stamp and address the letter as you would an envelope and send it to:

Sister Rebekah Pauliene Finch
Guatamela Quetzaltenango Mission
POB 30150
Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0150

If you want to send something directly to the Mission Office, they can get it to her. (Cards, packages)

Bring On The Rain

I made cinnamon rolls last week. They were good. The whole mission seems to be finding out that I bake stuff. They always want bread or cinnamon rolls or brownies from me. It’s cool to be famous for my cooking. I usually make box brownies and I favor the ones from Costco.

I love being a missionary right now. It is such a cool fun experience. I have been learning a lot about just how significant missionary work is. It is a huge part of the plan of God. Also I found out something interesting while reading a talk by one of the first presidency from 1965. Sometimes I had wondered in the past why I was so lucky to be born into such a great family, but other people are born in families that don't believe in God, and don't live very righteously. I use to feel that this was kind of unfair, but we just luckily got the nice side of the stick. But I learned that you aren’t necessarily born into the greatest situation, but God will have a plan of how you will be brought to the gospel.. As a missionary, we are supposed to find these people that were elect in the pre-existence and bring them the gospel so they can be reminded of their valiant spirit.

Transfers are in a week and a half. We find out what’s happening on Saturday. I hope elder Gooch and I are both staying together. Last night there was a huge lightning storm. We were driving home in it. There were two times in a row where the lightning was so close we could feel the car shake. One of the times, it got real static in the car. It made me miss New Mexico.

The Lopez Family was in North Carolina for a while, so they missed soccer and FHE, so we are going to do that today. They said they missed us a lot.

I got the pictures from Zions. That is crazy that you guys were in a flash flood. Was it fun at Zions?

We have had a lot of rain. Rain is one of the funnest things as a missionary. It is the closest we get to swimming. It feels great. We keep grocery bags in our backpacks just incase it rains.
I want to go to college when I get home. The go home date isn't really set in stone, but it is a pretty set thing, so I don’t know how that works with which semester I’ll be starting.

I love you all. Bye.

Elder Finch
