Packages Have Arrived and Strengthening the Ward

Sad story - it looks like I cannot send pictures for a bit. The computers do not recognize my camera very well. They have little gadgets that you can plug into the computer with slots for different types of memory cards. I will save up my money and try to buy one, it'll probably be a month or two until I can find one, but I will keep my eyes open.

Things are going very well. And yes, I got all of the packages!! YAYAYAYA!!!! I loved them all, and everything in them. The supplements seem very high quality and I am grateful to have them. They are helping a lot. We live across the street from a very noisy church that has concerts late every night. There are also a lot of dogs here - a lot - and they bark and have parties all night long. I thought I was sleeping well, until the first night I had ear plugs. Wow! NOW I sleep well. It feels so great to get a good nights rest. I'm eating my first batch of sprouts and they are so yummy and so healthy! The trail mix and nut bars came in perfect timing. We have moved our efforts to an area in the mountains and forests. We ride the bus for about forty minutes and then walk about twenty minutes between houses. It's great to have trail mix! Yummy!!! I LOVE the pancake mix, oh grains! Yay! I'm saving the hot cereal for after I run out of pancake mix. ALL of everything in those packages I appreciate so much! I've rationed it all out to last me until December. Thank you Thank you so much for sending those things. I know it was a huge sacrifice to put together and mail. It has helped me so much. When I start to feel stressed I remember the package of Mothers hidden under my bed for emergencies, or I think of the many wonderful supplements and blueberry chews and I know I can keep going. :)

We had a baptism fall through this week. It was sad, but at the same time, I felt the Lord's peace and gratitude for our work. The Spirit testified to me that we said and did the things we were supposed to and that the Lord was grateful for our sacrifice.

BUT - a few great successes - - - We've reactivated two families. Yay! They both came the last two Sundays and the last two activities. We teach them a couple times a week.
We organize a ward activity every week, and they are going very well. The first two we organized completely. Now we are working each week with one organization at a time to help them organize activities. It is so fun watching the ward grow in gospel understanding and talents.
We are putting together a patriarchal blessing trip. Many, many, do not have theirs. The people we are working with are very excited!! They have some homework assignments to read and research in the scriptures a little more about patriarchal blessings. Many cannot read, so we will be spending a lot of time helping them this week. I look forward to this.
Yesterday we helped Yesica pay her tithing for the first time. I am so grateful for her. Her family is very poor, and it was a significant sacrifice on her part, but she paid cheerfully and faithfully. She is already such a strong member.

I love you all!! Thanks for everything!!!!
Love, Rebekah
