Amobeas are Dead! (again)

Hello family!

All is well. Ameobes are dead. My companion and I are still getting along well and still praying to get along well.

Tha baptism went so well. Thank you for praying. Their confirmation blessing were amazing. Clarisa, the 12 year old, was told that she would always search out the Lord, that she would turn to the Lord during times of crisis, and that her testimony would be stengthened. She was told that she would recieve farther ordances in this life. I cried when I heard that. I've never heard that in a confirmation before. When the Bishop said those words I felt a strong confirmation from the Spirit and knew that she is one of the reasons I am here. I knew and know that I will see her again, after this life, with her own eternal family. That means more to me then I can express. I am here because I want Heavenly Father's children to return to Him as eternal families. It's so scary to introduce someone to the gospel and then leave the area and know that you'll probably never see them again. It makes me so sad. But her blessing was a huge blessing for me. I am grateful to know that she will continue to be nourished in this true and everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ.

Loyda's blessing we beautiful too. He blessing talked about how through her, many would come unto Christ. It talked about sharing the joy that she has found with her friends and being an example for her family. She loves the gospel. She has a hard time in school, she doesn't learn very fast. But she told me the other day, with the sweetest smile that she doesn't know what, but these things we are teaching are sticking with her. She says she can remember everything we teach her. This is a testimony to me of the Holy Ghost. Through the Holy Ghost, we can learn, grow, and remember if we come hungering and thirsting after righteousness.

Hno Julio is doing very very well. He is progressing daily and I am always amazed. We have a baptism for him this Saturday. I pray that everything goes well. He's afraid to get baptized because he is afraid he'll start to drink again, but we have taught him about repentance and the Sacrament. He is great.

We are also teaching an older man in his 70's. He has parkinsin's and lives alone. He was so happy to see us at his door.

I have a favor to ask, but I know you are all very busy. There is an elderly woman in the ward. She is from the States. She has been living here for abt 30 years and hardly speaks Spanish. Can you imagine living in a foriegn country for that long, without family and unable to speak the language? It must be very lonely. I feel like she has a sad story. I wonder what brought her here. She told me she just came one day and didn't leave. Anyway, I asked if I could do anything for her. She said, very humbly and sweetly, that she is searching deperatly for two pieces of sheet music. Both by George Gershwin. One called Lullabye for string quartet and the other called short story for cello and piano. If you can, can you please find these. She doesn't know how to use the interenet or anything. Pay for them with money from my account. I believe you have my check book. This would be a wonderful favor. She needs some way to feel the Lord's love for her. She feels lonely and forgotten in her old age.

I hope you all have a wonderful week! I am doing very well and progressing so much. This week I complete six months in my mission. It is going by fast.

Love,
Rebekah
